Creating your own Book of Mormon tabs

Book of Mormon Tabs and the tabbing labels are intended soley for use by members of the Ucon Stake. Although we wish we could provide these materials to all members outside our stake, we find it difficult to keep up with the demand in our own Stake and we operate on limited funding. However, we want be of help to all who are interested. For this reason, we are providing information and resources necessary for anyone to create their own tabbing labels. We include Word templates used for printing tabs, detailed printed and on-line instructions, and sources to purchase the specific tabbing material. The public is allowed to utilize our on-line and PDF instructions if they desire.

For those who wish to create their own tabs, as well as for those who are not members of the Ucon Stake, please consider using the provided resources to create your own tabs rather than requesting tabs from the Ucon Stake.


Word Templates

Sheets of pre-cut adhesive tabs made by Avery are designed to run through your normal inkjet or laser printer. However, fine tuning and alignment for each question is sometimes required. In the downloadable Word templates, each question is contained in its own text box so that the user can nudge each text box to align properly with each label. Sheets of material come with a sample paper label sheet that can be used to perform alignment tests before printing on the actual stock, which can be rather expensive.


Avery 16281

This material is an Avery label product. Each pack comes with 4 sheets with a total of 96 labels. The templates consists of three sheets. Thus, with three printed sheets (based on the word template of questions) four tabbed books can be made.
Price for each pack of 4 sheets varies from $4.69 to $11.29.


Tabbing Instructions

Tabbing instructions from the UconStake.org website can be used by anyone. The instructions come in two forms - on-line images of tab placement, and a more detailed, printable set of PDF instructions that can be downloaded. All these resources can be accessed on this page.
